An accomplished make-up artist of 12 years, Rebecca Wachtel has worked on such movies as Letters from Iwo Jima and Master and Commander. Her passion for photography arose from her love of seeing the world with curious eyes. She has been working in the medium since 2002, capturing whatever interests her in the moment. Loving to play with contrasting colors, Rebecca’s work in infrared and cross processing allows her to engage the viewer at a deeper level. Her work has appeared in an independent exhibit, Daydreams; a group exhibit, L.A. Seen; and a self-produced mixed-media art show, Rise and Shine, the counterinaugural ball — all in Los Angeles where she resides.
